Privacy Policy

Effective August 4, 2026. This policy explains how Masorix LLC, Armenia (“Masorix,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use KeepSift.

Counsel review required. This is a product-informed draft and has not yet been approved by legal counsel. It will be reviewed before public release.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the KeepSift Android application and this website. KeepSift is designed as a local-first screenshot library. This website has no accounts, forms, advertising, analytics, cookies, or local-storage tracking at launch. Cloudflare may process ordinary web request data to deliver and protect the site under its own terms.

2. Information processed on your device

Screenshots and media access

With the Android permissions you grant, KeepSift discovers screenshots in your device media library. The app stores references to the originals; it does not create a separate cloud library or upload screenshots to Masorix.

OCR, search, and organization

KeepSift performs optical character recognition on your device and stores extracted text, metadata, categories, collections, lifecycle state, and indexing state in a local database. Keyword search and categorization operate against that local index. Google ML Kit components may be installed or updated through Google services, but KeepSift is configured to perform text recognition locally.

Settings and background work

Settings are stored locally. Scanning when the app opens is enabled by default. Background indexing and anonymous statistics are disabled by default. You can change these settings. A background worker checks the setting and exits when background indexing is disabled.

Deletion

Removing an item from KeepSift can remove its local index records without deleting the original. Device screenshot deletion is disabled by default and requires a deliberate user action and Android confirmation when applicable.

3. Diagnostics, optional statistics, and feedback

Essential reliability reports

KeepSift uses Sentry to receive crash, error, and violated-invariant reports. These reports may include app version, release environment, Android version, device model, screen characteristics, bounded technical tags, and sanitized error or stack information. KeepSift disables default personally identifiable information, screenshot attachments, session replay, performance tracing, and automatic session tracking. It removes request data and arbitrary extras and scrubs messages and breadcrumbs before sending them.

Optional anonymous statistics

If you enable anonymous statistics, KeepSift sends bounded workflow counts, timings, outcomes, and failure types through Sentry Logs and Metrics. The setting is off by default. These statistics must not contain screenshots, OCR text, search terms, media paths, clipboard contents, or screenshot identifiers. An app-generated installation identifier may be associated while this setting is enabled and is cleared from Sentry’s user scope when you disable it.

Feedback you submit

If you choose to send in-app feedback, Sentry receives your message, any email address you voluntarily provide, app and device context described in the feedback screen, controlled workflow tags, and a related error reference when available. Do not include sensitive screenshot content in your message. KeepSift does not automatically attach screenshots, OCR text, search terms, media paths, or clipboard contents.

4. Service providers and disclosures

Google: Android, Google Play Billing, and ML Kit components. Google processes purchase and device/service data under its own privacy terms. Masorix receives entitlement and purchase-status information needed to provide Pro access; Google Play manages payment credentials.
Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.): privacy-scrubbed reliability reports, optional anonymous workflow statistics, and feedback you submit.
Cloudflare: delivery and security of keepsift.com, including ordinary network and request information.

Providers may process information in countries other than yours. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction, subject to applicable safeguards. We do not sell screenshot contents or use them for targeted advertising.

5. Retention and deletion

Local screenshot index data remains on your device until you remove it, reset the local index, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to Android backup or device behavior. Original screenshots remain in your gallery unless you explicitly delete them.

Sentry-hosted data is retained according to Masorix’s configured Sentry retention settings and applicable provider terms. The exact production retention period must be confirmed before launch. Google Play retains transaction records under Google’s policies and applicable law. Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably needed to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations; the production schedule must be confirmed before launch.

6. Your choices and rights

You can deny or limit photo access through Android, disable scan-on-open or background indexing, keep optional anonymous statistics off, omit an email from feedback, reset KeepSift’s local index, or uninstall the app. Restricting photo access may prevent screenshot discovery.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability for personal data Masorix controls, and to complain to a regulator. Because most KeepSift content stays only on your device, Masorix ordinarily cannot retrieve it. To make a request about diagnostic, feedback, support, or transaction-related data, contact us and provide enough information to verify and locate the relevant record.

7. Children

KeepSift is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. The launch-age position and any country-specific thresholds require counsel confirmation before release.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Device security, backups, and access to your gallery remain under your control and the Android platform.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the product, providers, or law changes. We will post the revised policy here with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required.
